Phoenix Ryzing was established in 2005 with offices in London and Shanghai by a team who have many years experience in International business development.
During the last ten years every member of the company has worked directly for or on behalf of a leading International manufacturer of flooring.
Our experience enables us to confidently source competitively priced quality flooring and accessories from factories in China and manage the onward sale to distribution networks around the world.
We also have extensive experience in the successful development of an effective commercial structure to engage the flooring industry in China.

gordon elsden
Over the years Gordon has developed a specialist expertise in both the sourcing of products from China and the Far East and the development of distribution networks throughout China for products manufactured in the West.
He has been closely involved with the Chinese culture since 1980 when he joined the Royal Hong Police Force, having graduated from Loughborough University with a Bsc in Economics and Mathematics. The next seven years benefited him with front line 'Operational Command' experience in units as diverse as criminal investigation and anti riot company operations.
With the prospective acquisition of Hong Kong by China he left the RHKP and joined Racal Electronics where he gained invaluable training and experience as an International Business Development Manager specialising in the Asia Pacific Region. Further acquisitions provided him with international business experience in 3M and more recently Marley Floors. With Marley he successfully established a commercial office in Shanghai tasked with selling and marketing a British made flooring product throughout China.
During the last three years he has been working on behalf of flooring distributors in the United States, Europe, Australia and Africa sourcing a range of flooring and building products. This has provided these distributors with competitive products and increased margins.
Gordon has attained a reasonable level of spoken Cantonese and Mandarin and passed an Advanced level exam in written Chinese.
jessy jin (manager of the shanghai office)
Jessy graduated from the University of Zhejiang, China in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and then worked for 2 years as a trainee accountant in a State owned Import & Export Trading Company.
Between 1997 and 1999 she continued her studying at Wollongong University in Australia from where she obtained a Masters degree in International Business.
After 2 years working with Motorola, Australia as a marketing assistant, Jessy returned to China to work with a Chinese Export Trading House responsible for selling Building materials to Europe and the United States.
In 2003 she was employed by Marley Floors as the Commercial Manager of the Shanghai office, to help develop a distribution network throughout China. In 2005 she was directly employed by the Tarkett organisation in China to assist in the development of their commercial structure.
Since early 2006 Jessy been employed by Phoenix Ryzing to source flooring and related materials for distributors in Europe, Australia and the United States.
kobe yang (marketing manager)
Kobe graduated from Shenyang University with a degree in Science & Technology and a professional working knowledge of English.
He previously worked as an export manager for one of the largest Chinese commercial flooring manufacturers and has gained a good understanding of the quality requirements of international customers Kobe also has extensive experience in planning and managing exhibitions in Europe, North America and Asia.
He was invited by a flooring organisation under the authority of the Chinese government to participate in establishing a quality standard for resilient flooring in China.
tracy feng (commercial administrator in the shanghai office)
Tracy graduated from Shanghai University in 2003 with a degree in International Business Studies. She is responsible for the day to day processing of orders and the initial market research of any sourcing programme.
